We will begin with yoga breathing exercises, then breaking down each posture in a way that is comfortable for your body. My goal is to provide each client with the tools they need to manage stress and anxiety naturally and effectively on their own. Optional homework will be given, so that you can accomplish your goals faster.

FAQ'S

How are sessions taught virtually?

Sessions are taught on Zoom where I can offer you support and suggestions, and alter my cueing to fit your individual needs.  The classes are taught with mostly verbal cues, so you don’t have to watch the screen the whole time, and are able to turn your attention inward.  We can practice this together before your first session. Don't worry.

A unique zoom link will be provided before the start of every session.

What if I prefer to use a service besides Zoom?

I will work with whatever you have! However, I will only be able to provide you with video recordings of your session, if we use Zoom.

How should I set up my computer?

To be the most helpful, I will need to be able to see your entire body on the mat. If you're used to zoom, and have done this before, great! But if you're new to this (and I get it, believe me!), we can have an initial 15 min zoom intro session to get comfortable with the technology and space, and to set up the best angle for your computer or phone. We'll play around with it, so that we feel comfortable and ready for your first session! Or, we can take some time at the start of your first session to figure out the best setup. We're in this together, and we can do this!

Do I need props?

Yes! Especially in our restorative postures, extra support/cushion is so nourishing. Most yoga props can be created with things around the house.

  • Yoga mat or large blanket/towel (just make sure it is on a non-slip surface)

  • Yoga bolster OR pillows or couch cushions

  • Blanket and/or bath towels

  • Yoga strap OR scarf

  • Yoga blocks OR couch pillows

How do I know what props I’ll need?
You’ll receive an email 30 minutes prior to your session with the suggested props

What kind of Yoga Styles are offered?

Restorative – These classes are a luxurious experience helping you to let go and find stillness in the mind and body through the use of supportive props, connection to breath, and stillness. Restorative Yoga deeply relaxes the body, balances the nervous system, boosts the immune system, and allows the body and mind to heal.

Gentle Flow – Uses gentle flowing movements. Links breath with movement. Emphasis on flexibility, strength, and alignment.

Gentle Restorative – Gentle flowing movements that eventually melt into restorative postures, enhancing deep relaxation.

Slow Flow – Can be gentle to moderate depending on where you would like to take the asanas. Many options will be offered. The flows are aimed at strengthening the body, improving flexibility, and calming the mind.
